Attracting Prospects To Your Website

The first goal in a successful internet marketing campaign is to get traffic to your website. There are many channels or avenues that prospects can use to find your electronic front-door. For most cases you will want to attack your lead generation plan using the following types of campaigns.  Xtreme Webover is your marketing partner, and we'll develop any or all of these channels depending on the specifics of your growth needs.

Email Campaigns - Prospects can find you from targeted email campaigns that capture their attention and present a desired call to action. Email campaigns are very effective if you have an existing database of customers who have opted in to receive emails from you.   Buying lists and spamming them is not what we do.

PPC Advertising Campaigns - The most successful channel to attract new and unique prospects to your website is PPC Advertising. Google Adwords is the most popular by far with a 82% internet penetration rate through their various networks.  Adwords and PPC campaigns are paid ads that display on the side google, yahoo, bing and other search engine searches.   There are many complexities such as choosing the correct keywords, bidding for advertising space, tracking your relevancy, and monitoring conversion.  All of which can make or break your ROI for the campaign if not managed successfully. It is always advices to work with an expert when your business revenue and image are on the line.

Search Engine Optimization - So you want the #1 free advertising spot on google searches ..  you and 786 million other businesses.  It's not really that bad, but it is very competitive business to rank you on the first page of internet searches.  There are many obvious factors to consider like which key words are being typed, what pages do you want those keywords to link to, how relevant is that page compared to other possible search results.  All this is factored by search engines to determine your ranking.  What is not so obvious are the tracking, analysis, and calculations / comparisons that are going on behind the scenes by the search engines to determine your placement.  How long did prospects stay on your site before linking away? What pages did they use? Did they convert into customers? Did they 'bounce' back to the search engine and search again?   Regardless, with the right team working with you, over time, you can take and own prime internet advertising space and drive a large volume of traffic to you site.

Customer Referral Campaigns - Your customers are one of the best sources of new business.  It's not too difficult with the proper internet marketing tools to set up a very effective referral campaign. Rewarding your customers for sending you new business, making the process painless and easy, and actively managing the process are keys to your success.  Linking from their site to your site with a Referral banner not only helps your customers send you business, it also works to increase your search engine ranking.  That's a win win.

Social Media Marketing - If you haven't noticed there has been a social media revolution in progress.  The big question is how useful are all these different social media networks, and how do generate leads from them.  Sure it's nice to set up profiles and connect with friends, but how much time is appropriate and how do you gauge the ROI? It can be confusing, but if you are set on doing this yourself start with linked-in, face-book, and twitter. Completely set up your profiles be sure to set up links back to your website.  (Don't forget to track where your leads came from, monitor conversion, and report back to the search engines)

Converting Visitors to Customers

If you want to turn a profit from your internet marketing efforts, one of the biggest mistakes you can make is to drive visitors to your website without a plan to convert them into customers, subscribers, members, fans or prospects.  Xtreme Webover has your back on this one.  We are experts in both attracting visitors to your site and then, most importantly, ensuring they find what they are looking for and decide to take the next step. There are many keys to the success of visitor conversion.  Here are a few:

Relevant Page Content - Relevant content is the reason users are visiting your website. Unique content is why they are visiting your site, rather than a competitors site. Both relevant content and unique content must be found on your webpages ... especially when those webpages are on the other end of your pay-per-click ads. When you have high-quality content on your webpages, visitors tend to stick around longer and have a better user experience. This leads to more customers.

Webform Lead Capture - Imagine two networking events ... one where you get business cards and contact information from everyone you meet, and the other one where you just keep talking and never meet anyone.  Which would be more effective?  The networking event where you collected prospect information.  The same goes for your website.  You need to have webforms where visitors can type in their email address, and possibly contact information, and maybe even a credit card information. (contact forms collecting data and order forms collecting data and processing transactions.  And, you need to have a compelling reason why they would want to leave that information.  If you're on top of your marketing game you will load that contact information into an automated customer followup up sequence and you'll pass the 'conversion data' back to google, yahoo and/or bing.

Page View Analysis & Reporting - You have successfully created an PPC campaign, you've driven traffic to your website, and visitors are clicking back and forth around your pages, reading your content, and looking at your offering.  If your site is set up for Analytics (meaning, special code has been inserted into all the pages of your site to track movements of visitors), you can derive traffic patterns like most viewed pages and bounce rates for landing pages.  For example, a high bounce rate on one your landing pages can indicate that visitors are not finding what they are looking for.  Re-designing the ad, page content / layout, or both is most likely required. (and that can be expensive when you're paying fore each click) Without active management of your traffic patterns, you'll never know what's happening or how to make smart decisions.

Following Up With Prospects, & Customers

One of the largest and most costly oversights you can make is to ignore your database of existing prospects and customers. The only thing worse is not building a database ... and it's time to start right now.   The basic concept here is to form and foster relationships with your prospects and customers. By keeping in contact with them over time you will generate unique and repeat sales, referrals, and momentum. With a large customer database comes enormous internet marketing and media power. If you have a large database and haven't been doing anything with it, you need help immediately.  You are throwing away huge profits every month.

Following are powerful options for companies with a database of customers ...

Automated Follow Up Campaigns - There are several excellent customer followup solutions like Aweber, Constant Contact, and my favorite InfusionSoft. These programs allow you to store the customer contact information you collect from your website into an online database and send targeted emails to that list.   The added advantages of InfusionSoft allow you to setup automated campaigns, move customers from one campaign to another based on time,  send automated voice broadcasts, track purchase data, and the list goes on.  In the end, you are well equipped to follow up with your customers. (And that's not bad when you consider all the effort to collect new customers vs. repeat business from existing customers)

Targeted E-Mail Broadcasts - If you have collected email addresses from the visitors of your site, along with other relevant demographic information, then you can launch targeted email campaigns.  For example, you can make product announcements, make special offers, announce limited time specials, have surveys completed, provide free and valuable information, and the list goes on.  The goal of targeted email broadcasts are many ... the result is results. Hope that is clear.
